CURRICULUM
Core Topics Covered
A comprehensive curriculum designed to take you from fundamentals to field-ready competence.
Residential & Commercial Energy Audits
This module covers the principles and standards of energy auditing for residential and commercial facilities. You will learn effective site data collection techniques, analyze electrical consumption patterns, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and produce comprehensive audit reports with proper documentation.
Load Analysis (Manual & Software-Based)
Gain the skills to assess energy loads both manually and using software tools. This includes inventorying loads, calculating peak versus average demand, performing manual sizing calculations (kWh, kW, autonomy), and interpreting outputs from solar design software such as PV*Sol, PVSyst, and HOMER.
Solar System Sizing & Component Selection
Learn how to size and select components for solar energy systems. This module covers PV array sizing, inverter and charge controller selection, battery sizing for both lead-acid and lithium options, and balance-of-system (BOS) components. You will also explore the design of grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid configurations.
Technical Proposal Development
Develop the skills to create professional technical proposals for renewable energy projects. Topics include proposal structure and key elements, writing technical specifications, preparing financial projections and ROI calculations, compiling a Bill of Quantities (BoQ), and presenting proposals to industry-standard levels of professionalism.
